MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY HEARTH WARMING DAY, WONDERFUL YULE, HAPPY HANUKKAH, AND MERRY KWANZAA...and...uh...well....happy whatever you celebrate! Just have a good time today!
Hey, I just saw that you're going to write a sequel for Candy for Your Thoughts this summer named "Candy to Spread Around" (that's the title, right?)
Now, even if I'm really eager to read it, I have a question regarding another story of yours: what happened with "The Lawyer, The Snoop and and Scandal?" Are you going to finish it anytime? If the answer is no, can you tell me what was going to happen, and how it was going to end?
Sorry for the later reply for your question. Good to hear that you've started watching the series now! Personally, I'm absolutely in love with the series. Always been a fan of the first series and this one does not disappoint. The animation is gorgeous, all the characters are enjoyable and very well-rounded...well, besides Asami. She shows up in episode four. Hopefully the upcoming episodes will open her character up a bit more. I have feeling there's more to her than the little we've seen so far. Probably my favorite thing about the new series is the setting. I've always adored the 1920s and its amazing to see how the culture of the Roaring twenties mixed in with in the Avatar universe. The jazz-filled soundtrack is too much for my Louisiana heart to handle. My favorite characters of series so far are Bolin, Korra, and Tenzin. I find Amon to be an excellent villain, mostly because I'm just dying to know more about him. In the first series, we knew a good amount about the Fire Lord already- he was king of the fire nation, Zuko was his son and that he banished him, and his goal was to rule all the other nations. But we don't know ANYTHING about Amon, how he's able to take away bending, and what his turn intentions are. We know only what he's told us and he's so shifty that for all we know his past could be a lie. Amon is a mystery, a powerful and frightening mystery, and for that reason I consider him one of the best villains I've seen in a long time.

No problem about your late reply. I myself have fairly strong feelings towards the Legend of Korra. The animation is great and the characters are pretty good so far! If I had to pick a favorite it would like be Korra, not only is she a fairly rounded protagonist but she's also pretty HOT!!! Though Tenzin would likely be a close second, he's such a good mentor and his stoic nature makes it hilarious when it breaks!
I've talked with Akira about this but I would like to know your opinion...is Mako Batman? Think about it, both are brooding characters whose parents are killed right in-front of them at 8 years old. He's Batman! How awesome would it be if Batman was in Republic City and Mako was voiced by Kevin Conroy!?
Speaking of Republic City, that brings me to my only somewhat major criticism of Korra...it's a little too modern. On the one hand, I know they had to change the setting from what came before because we've seen the four nations and because time marches on. It wasn't a bad idea to have it be a somewhat industrial world. I like how it took certain things from a more industrial world and made them work in this world: the police blimps and the lightning benders powering huge generators. However, there are some moments or elements that don't feel like this world even if it's 60 plus years in the future. The cars and motorcycles are the most districting elements. I would have liked them better if it had been a more basic model or the very beginnings of these things coming into existence. I realize this might just a matter of personal taste but I still am liking this show a lot!
The greatest reason for me liking this show is Amon and the central conflict. I feel that Amon will be the greatest villain in Avatar with the possible exception of Zuko. It's partially the mystery and his ability to take bending away (How the fuck does he do that?) but to me it's more because of the struggle between the benders and the "Equalists". There's so many potentially complex angles that could be used! Honestly, even while watching Avatar there was the thought of, how much does it suck to be a non-bender in this world. And as the gangs show, there is a certain truth to the benders exploiting those who can not bend. I would love this show as much as Avatar if it truly addressed the basic inequality of non-benders! Do you understand what I mean? Can you dig it?
I have just finished reading your fan-ficition "Candy For Your Thoughts" and let me just say...HOLY SHIT!!! That story was unbelievable! I don't mean to sound obsessive or anything but I was blown away both by how well-written and respectful of TD it was!! This is somewhat because this was literally the first fan-fiction I've ever read. I just wanted to say thank you so much for writing this story.
Since you clearly have a knack for fan-fiction, could you please tell me what Total Drama fan-fictions are your favorites or the best written?
Hello stranger! Haha, wow, first fanfiction huh? Have to say I'm honored that you chose mine to be your first ( which is probably for the best since there are some that have scared many a reader away after the first chapter. ) I'm extremely happy you enjoyed the story so much. The story was a pleasure to write and it always amazes me how many readers like you love it so much. I try to keep my stories as respectful as towards the series, especially towards the characters. After all, what good is reading a story if the reader can't care for and root for the characters?
Oh jeez, it's actually been a while since I've read stuff in the Total Drama section. Though, if memory serves me, one of my favorite stories in that section was a story called "Total Drama Sibling Rivalry". It had the contestants, along with their siblings, compete against each other. Despite the siblings being OCs, they were actually very well-thought out and great characters and the challenges were highly creative and entertaining. I'd highly advice you to read that story. And, if you're a fan of the Disney movie "The Princess and the Frog" before writing "Candy for YOur Thoughts" I wrote a sort of Total Drama take on the movie, taking place right after season two. It was also very well received by readers and you might enjoy it.

Thank you very much. I will look into those stories in the meantime...you clearly have a respect and love for Total Drama but did you watch Total Drama Revenge of the Island? If you did, what did you think of it?
I HAD a respect and love for the original season of Total Drama Island. In my opinion, it was the best season and had the characters at their best. Afterwards, I watched season two and three so that I continue to see the characters I fell in love with in the first season. However, the writing of the series, character stabilization, and plot-development started to fall apart as the series spread. Several of the characters failed to stay in character and were changed for the sole sake of drama and the sub-plots never seemed to add up. Since I sorta lost faith in the writing crew of the series after the horror of season three, I decided not to watch Revenge of the Island so I have no opinion on it.
